Detailed Problem Description
Email from Mark Harris on 05/15/2017:
There are several discrepancies in the Scorecard Report vs Sales Analysis data source that supports it. Most obvious issues, it seems to be lumping 5th and US Sales together in US Sales. US Retail Sales is named US Web Sales. 5th in the report is actually Canada Retail. Also, we need to understand what is driving the discrepancies between the total open orders on the scorecard vs Analysis. (what is being suppressed so we can report to mgmt.)
Solution Analysis and Recommendations
The changes requested by the user seems to be valid. Currently Regional Sub report in Scorecard report is grouped by Sub Region Info object. Please find the comments below:
5th & Ocean Sales -> Canada Retail Sales - (Request from Carducci)
Sales Org 1800(Canada Retail Sales) is assigned to 5th&Ocean Sales sub region in BW, due to this Canada Retail Sales fall under 5th & Ocean Sales in Scorecard report.
US Web Sales -> US Retail Sales - (Request from Carducci)
Sales Org 1300(US Retail Sales) is assigned to US Web Sales sub region in BW, but user wants to see it as US Retail Sales instead of US Web Sales.
United States Sales -> (Split Into) - (Request from Carducci)
• United States Sales
• 5th & Ocean Sales
Sales Orgs 1000 & 5000 are assigned to United States Sales subregion in BW, instead of grouping them user wants to see them individually.
We have identified two ways to get this fixed:
1. Need to replace sub region with Sales org info object in Scorecard sub reports and adjust necessary formulas.
2. Need to change the descriptions of salesorg region info object in BW with description provided but this change will impact the reports where ever sub region info object is used.
Resolution
As per NEC's instruction, changing the descriptions in salesOrg Region info object fixed the issue:
